The 3D Digital Animation program combines the core drawing skills required for work in animation with the enhanced tools and software savvy needed to work in today’s digital universe.
This program gives students the tools to excel in areas such as modeling, lighting, rigging, composition, design, texturing, sculpting, surfacing and visual effects.
Our students will showcase these enhanced skills throughout the year to professional production companies. This early opportunity to build relationships with those you will be applying to for work after graduation is invaluable.
The 3D Animation program at SchoolCreative focuses on the creation of digital art and animation. All students will also receive training in core drawing fundamentals. Digital design – modelling, rigging, lighting, composition and animation will be taught throughout the one year program. Experienced industry professionals, currently working in their fields will mentor students on the 3D concept; providing students the tools needed to create, polish and fully animate their creations. Students will work with current animation software, techniques and tools used throughout industry today, ensuring that upon completion of the program students will find themselves with a highly employable skill-set. Throughout the program, students will also meet with industry experts and guest speakers – giving them an opportunity to gain valuable insight, showcase their work and begin the professional networking process.

Graduates can gain employment as 3D designers, 3D animators, Riggers, Lighters and other creative positions essential to the gaming, tv broadcast, and feature film pipeline. This program was designed to deliver “all killer, and no filler” industry standard training; ensuring that all of our graduates are highly employable and equipped with tools that will allow them to move efficiently out of school and into the studio.
Students will leave this program with an industry demanding grasp of all the essential tools needed to be successful in the world of CG Animation and Design. Upon graduation, students will have learned skills, techniques and business know-how that will put them on track for employment and success in the 3D animation industry. With an added emphasis on business skills, students in this program will graduate as highly employable artists.
Over a period of 48 weeks, students in the 3D Animation program will be instructed in the fundamentals of modelling, rigging and other design skills. They will also be taught core drawing fundamentals over a dynamic 952 hour program of classroom instruction.
To qualify for SchoolCreative Full Time Training in ‘3D Animation’, applicants must;
Applicants with mature students status, and/or students whose first language is not English, below are the minimum scores required from any one of the following tests in English proficiency: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC or Cambridge. If necessary, we may also require a telephone or in-person interview.
Our animation programs have one intake per year occurring in September. This 52 week program runs Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:30 pm with classes scheduled in varying blocks of either 9:00 am – 1:30pm or 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm. We are always accepting applications for upcoming terms, please find start dates below.
