Shawna Parry

Shawna is a trained and experienced dancer, singer, and actor, who loves to share her passion of Musical Theatre with her students. She works and travels professionally as a performer, instructor, choreographer and director. Having worked with numerous schools and production companies, Shawna consistently brings enthusiasm, expertise, and a strong attention to detail in her classes, usually drawing upon her first love: Dance and expression through the body. Favourite performance credits: West Side Story “Anybodys” (Vancouver Opera), Guys and Dolls “Adelaide” (Metro), The Diary of Adam and Eve “Eve” (VanFringe), A Chorus Line “Connie” (VIVA), Olympic WinterSports Showcase 2010 “Swing/Assistant Chor.” (URP/City of WestVan), helping with the creation and voice of “Sara” in How To Love-The Headphone Play (Idea Factory Ent/Van Fringe), and God of Carnage “Annette,” which won the Theatre BC Zone Festival award (NVCP). Favourite choreography credits include: A Chorus Line and Legally Blonde (Crofton School), assisting Mr. Jeff Hyslop in Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen (GTI Productions), Little Shop of Horrors (URP), Cabaret (DSRP), The Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular (RazzleDazzle), as well as directing Honk! The Musical for The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts.
