Nicholas Carella is an award-winning actor and writer, best known for his role as Deputy Patrick Lillis on CBS’ Harper’s Island. In 2009, Nicholas was a double nominee at the Canadian Comedy Awards (Best Actor, Best Screenplay) for his feature film-writing debut, Hooked on Speedman, which is still enjoying a successful television run across the country. Through the last decade, Nicholas has been a busy, active actor whose favourite credits include Citizen Duane, Stir of Echoes II, Random Acts of Romance, The Kennedys, and the multi-award winning, dark comedy Camera Shy. Nicholas has guest-starred on such television shows as Fringe, Motive, Supernatural, and V, as well as numerous other prime-time series. Nicholas is currently busy as the head-writer and show-runner of the critically acclaimed web-series The True Heroines. Nicholas has also created original works for Screen Door and Anchor Bay. In 2011, Nicholas co-founded Sociable Films (with Michelle Ouellet and Ali Liebert) and their inaugural feature film entitled Afterparty is set for release later this year. Years of experience in front of and behind the camera makes Nicholas an extremely sought after scene study and audition coach here at School Creative and in Vancouver.
