Nevada is a Vancouver native and has been a passionate performer all her life. She studied intensively for two years at The Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria BC and was cast in her first professional show at The Chemainus Theatre Festival. In 2004 she won the Theatre Under The Stars “Aida Broadbent Award: for professional performance and conduct” and in 2005 received a CTC Best Actress nomination for her role as Phylia in Tryptich Theatricals production of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. Over the past decade Nevada’s career has taken her throughout the province and all the way to Iceland to film a series with Jadar Films in 2007. As a seasonal performer with the Fort Steele Follies for many years in Fort Steele BC, she has had the opportunity to work as an actor, writer, director, choreographer, and designer, and exercise her improvisational skills. Nevada is a dance teacher as well as a BCRPA certified Group Fitness Instructor, Third Age instructor, and a certified Barre Fitness Trainer. Many gifted local teachers and mentors have helped to shape her work, and Nevada hopes to be able to impart some of the knowledge and inspiration she has received on those she has the pleasure to coach.
