Professional Production Projects

Course Purpose

In the final two terms each student will learn the procedures involved in the planning and execution of 3 – 15 second Character Animation pieces utilizing each of the Animation Production Methods including: Classical, 2D Digital (Flash or Harmony) and Paperless.
These projects will incorporate all the areas and skills attained in Terms 1 – 4 and will follow milestones and deadlines adhering to a Studio style Production Pipeline from Pre-Production to Post Production, idea stage to full colour animated production. Further advanced instruction continues to assist them with classes and instruction, which include Character animation, Storyboarding, Visual Development, Digital colour, Digital animation as well as Editing, Voiceover Prep, Sound Design and Music Production.

Course Goals and Outcomes

To fully understand how to apply all courses to a real life process and create a final film.
