In this course, the student is introduced to the basics of designing and scripting for an online game.
Course Goals and Outcomes
Specific areas the course will look at include:
- Interface design
- Deterministic scripting
- Scripting online games
- Turn based games
- Asynchronous gameplay considerations
- Keeping everyone in synch
- How to “cheat” the system in order to gain performance.
Supplies and Equipment
Students are required to bring the following with them to classes: 3” binder with paper and tabs, notebook, pen, pencil, highlighter, calculator. It is required that students have computer access outside of class.
